One other shot here of my Hylian Shield and Master Sword, taken at Anime Central 2006 by Robert of Consplayers Photography.
The shield's steel was stamped and shipped from a tank production facility in Texas but paneled, painted, and built in Michigan. Simply finding the right supplies was tricky and so it took roughly three and a half years to be fully completed.
Structural designing and patterning, along with bolting, cleaning, and some interior edging work / sanding, done by me. The rest was crafted by numerous individuals over three years.
Edges are 11ga (1/8") plate x2 with soft cedar paneling and automotive bolt connections. Weight is approximately 35lbs.
Master Sword was hand-crafted by a local blacksmith although designs were produced by me. Diamond is solid brass made by Dragon Cutlery. Triforce emblem was entirely designed by me and laser engraved.
The sword still awaits a lot of finalized construction as of early 2010.
